MICHAEL SHUBIC

Michael Shubic was born and raised in Lakewood, Ohio, just outside of Cleveland, and has been a Los Angeles resident for more than 30 years. He currently serves as Governance Analyst at Munger, Tolles & Olson, one of the most respected law firms in the United States, where he has built a distinguished and enduring career.

Earlier in his professional journey, Michael worked as a movie theatre manager and professional sports broadcaster, including more than eight years as the Stadium PA Announcer at Cleveland Stadium for the Cleveland Indians (now Guardians). During that time, he developed close professional relationships with PLAY MUSIC ENJOY LIFE! Founder Rick DePiro and Executive Board Member Lou Deperro, both in Cleveland and at the Stadium while Mr. DePiro served as Stadium Organist.

After relocating to Los Angeles, Michael joined Munger, Tolles & Olson, where his analytical expertise and leadership have made him an integral part of the firm’s operations.

A lifelong advocate for the arts, Michael studied at Cleveland State University, where he performed as a choral singer, further deepening his love for music. His passion spans professional musical theatre, film, live concerts, and the broader entertainment industry. An avid supporter of arts-related initiatives, he has actively participated in and supported numerous music and motion picture charity events.

Michael is also widely regarded as a film, music, and sports aficionado, known for his extensive knowledge and engaging enthusiasm.

For more than three years, he has helped promote Arts and Wellness initiatives with PLAY MUSIC ENJOY LIFE! throughout the greater Los Angeles area. His dedication to serving others and his belief in the transformative power of music continue to inspire those involved with the organization.

With his diverse professional background, deep appreciation for the arts, and strong administrative expertise, Michael brings insight, energy, and a welcoming presence to PLAY MUSIC ENJOY LIFE! as both a member of the Executive Board of Directors and the Executive Advisory Board.
